Representations and identities of plactic-like monoids

چکیده
We exhibit faithful representations of the hypoplactic, stalactic, taiga, sylvester, Baxter and right patience sorting monoids each finite rank as upper triangular matrices over any semiring from a large class including tropical fields characteristic 0. By analysing image these representations, we show that variety generated by single hypoplactic (respectively, stalactic or taiga) monoid at least 2 coincides with natural numbers together fixed H F) forms proper subvariety plactic 2.

compactifications and representations of transformation semigroups
this thesis deals essentially (but not from all aspects) with the extension of the notion of semigroup compactification and the construction of a general theory of semitopological nonaffine (affine) transformation semigroup compactifications. it determines those compactification which are universal with respect to some algebric or topological properties. as an application of the theory, it is i...

We consider trace monoids i.e., free monoids where some pairs of letters are allowed to commute. We show that such monoids can be faithfully represented by 22-matrices with integer entries if and only if it they are direct products of a free commutative monoid with a free product of free commutative monoids.
متن کاملSchensted-type correspondences and plactic monoids for types Bn and Dn
We use Kashiwara’s theory of crystal bases to study plactic monoids for Uq(so2n+1) and Uq(so2n). Simultaneously we describe a Schensted type correspondence in the crystal graphs of tensor powers of vector and spin representations and we derive a Jeu de Taquin for type B from the Sheats sliding algorithm.
متن کاملDisjunctive Identities of Finite Groups and Identities of Regular Representations
The problem of describing identities of concrete algebraic structures is traditionally one of the most attractive in variety theory. Very often it is a difficult problem, and many deep works are entirely devoted to finding bases of identities of classical algebraic objects. This paper was initiated by attempts to find bases of identities for certain representations of finite groups. Let F be th...
متن کاملArrows, like Monads, are Monoids
Monads are by now well-established as programming construct in functional languages. Recently, the notion of “Arrow” was introduced by Hughes as an extension, not with one, but with two type parameters. At first, these Arrows may look somewhat arbitrary. Here we show that they are categorically fairly civilised, by showing that they correspond to monoids in suitable subcategories of bifunctors ...
